Meet Abby
Hi! I’m Abby Ronnebeck. I’ve been working in a professional work environment for about 18 years and I’ve learned most things by jumping in head-first. That approach has gotten me far, but I’ve been truly blessed to have several mentors and coaches along the way. Their guidance, experience, and affinity for asking the hard questions have created some of the most enriching and fulfilling periods of my career. I’ve learned that we thrive when we have someone in our corner, providing invaluable resources and helping us think problems all the way through.
I’ve always been looking for a path that’s perfect for me, and I didn’t get it right the first time. I attended college at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont Nebraska, majoring in Youth and Family Ministry & Theology. So I was just as surprised as anyone else when the universe redirected me to the Financial Services industry to begin my career. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t intentional. I was placed with my first firm by a recruiter. They were looking for a friendly face to be a receptionist at a Broker-Dealer. Low and behold, I was that face. I had little experience in that field, but I worked my way.
My grit, grace, determination, and flexibility got me where I am today. The road was never a perfect, clear path, but I was always willing to do the work to get to my next destination. Taking a look in my rear view mirror, I think the path was always leading me here: to coaching and consulting. And, maybe, to you and your unique career journey!
My favorite thing in the world is to see something click in someone, that lightbulb moment, that glimmer of hope that things might become more manageable and they’re ready to challenge themselves to be their BEST self. I come to you as an open forum, a listening ear with nearly two decades of professional experience. I’ve worked with a few horrible bosses, some amazing leaders, and learned a whole lot of real-life lessons that I’d love to help you learn the easy way. Over the years I’ve discovered that my core values are authenticity, community, and service. I love to show up for people in those ways. I am organized, thoughtful, and love time management tactics. I would love to help you be your best self and thrive in your career or job the way you’ve always wanted to.
My Husband Eric and I live in Seattle, Washington with our friendly and mischievous Shih Tzu Dr. Doom. They are the lights in my life, and we love spending our weekends soaking in the sunshine (Wet or dry) with a nice cup of coffee in hand or cheering on our beloved Seattle Kraken!
Who was Alma Hansine?
(AL-Mah Han-Seen-Ah)
My Great Grandmother Alma Hansine was born in 1895, well before Women’s Suffrage was in place across America and the 19th Amendment was passed just before she was married to Bert in 1920. She was my great grandmother, mother to my Grandma Myla.
She was a true pioneer. A woman who worked on the farm beside her husband raising her 3 children on a farm with no running water, electricity, or plumbing. Growing her own vegetables for dinner and canning them in the late summer for the winter. You could call her a busy body, her hands never idle. My Grandma tells me stories of her feisty personality and her deep caring heart.
I always loved the name Alma and thought, if I were to have children, I would likely name my little girl Alma after her. So, when I started brainstorming what I wanted to name my “baby” consulting business, I asked my Grandma if I could use Alma’s namesake. In a way, this is my baby, and this is my way to honor the strong women in my life who came before me.

I get chills when I think about the opportunities women have now compared to when Alma was born. Grandma Myla tells me she thinks Alma would be just tickled that a woman could run a business, so I thought it only appropriate to help her name live on for a few more generations.
I’m filled with gratitude for all the strong women in my life. All of them faced many challenges and walked through fire in their own way. They always forged their own path. This is for you, the strong women in my family, who taught me to be independent, strong, and fearless.
